Resident Appreciation Week - May 2010

Recently, Woodside Manor held its Resident Appreciation Week with a parade on Monday, breakfast and dinner on Tuesday, a pool party at Woodside Manor and a space walk fun day at Hawthorne on Wednesday. Thursday consisted of a teen dance for both properties hosted at Woodside’s Resident Opportunity Center. And on Friday Woodside prepared for a Special Event to take place on Saturday.

Friends and Family Day - May 2010

A partnership with Baton Rouge City Food Bank, (5546 Choctaw Drive Baton Rouge, LA 70805) and United Way of Baton Rouge ( 700 Laurel St, Baton Rouge, LA 70802)

We raised over $1,500.00 worth of non-perishable food items for Baton Rouge Food Bank and $219.00 for United Way with a garage sale.

Volunteers included Mrs. Donna Collins Lewis, City Councilwoman of District 6, Baton Rouge Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Motorcycle club “The Flight Crew”, Woodside Manor residents, and Lee Anthony.

Spring Fest - March 2010

We had face painting, games, food booths, and more duing the event. City Councilwoman Mrs. Donna Collins Lewis of District 6 spoke and there were local celebrities such as recording artists Mr. John Moore from New Orleans, and the motorcycle club, “The Flight Crew”.
